Modernising the Parking Industry
The IT industry, in all of its sectors, is constantly evolving to provide better services and technological capabilities to users, and the parking industry is no different. The company is currently running international trials to make disability parking areas better. This new technology will notify a parking attendant if a parking space has been taken by a non-badge holder.
Closer to home, Rebecca feels that New Zealand’s smaller towns are currently leading the way in terms of utilising the parking technology; most notably in New Plymouth where with the help of new technologies, they are able to better regulate parking, which is having a positive effect on local retail.

A massive thanks to Rebecca for taking the time to be a part of this series, your experience, insights and advice are sure to be valuable to many IT professionals.
