Our client is building out a
next-generation cloud platform and we’re looking for Site Reliability Engineers — whether you’re sharpening your skills or ready to set the technical direction.
This is more than just cloud support. You’ll be working at the heart of a mission-critical platform that keeps services flowing and scales reliably. Our teams are obsessed with automation, performance, and resilient design — and you’ll have the freedom to shape how we do it.
Where You’ll Work We offer flexible work setups:
- Auckland: Hybrid (2 days in office per week)
- Wellington: Office 1–2 days per week, with occasional travel to Auckland
- Other NZ locations: Fully remote, with 1 or 2 trips to Auckland a year
What You’ll Do In this role, you’ll:
- Build, scale, and manage containerised environments using AKS
- Design and automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform
- Develop and maintain event-driven systems using Kafka
- Drive platform reliability by embedding monitoring, scaling, and self-healing capabilities
- Improve incident response, resilience testing, and system recovery processes
- Champion SRE best practices across engineering squads
- (For senior/lead roles) Mentor engineers and help shape the platform’s technical roadmap
What You’ll Bring We’re keen to hear from engineers with:
- 3+ years’ experience in SRE, platform, DevOps, or cloud engineering roles
- Hands-on expertise with Kafka, AKS, and Terraform
- Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and automation
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and performance monitoring tools
Bonus: Familiarity with Azure-native services and cloud security practices.
We can only consider candidates who currently reside in New Zealand and have full legal working rights
