Our client is looking for a skilled Security Engineer to join a technically sharp, team supporting one of New Zealand’s leading enterprise environments. This is a hands-on contract role offering exposure to both modern and legacy systems, with a focus on securing infrastructure and supporting a wide range of security tools.

What you’ll be doing:

• Working across a diverse tech stack including Defender, Defender for Cloud, Proofpoint, Zscaler, and vulnerability management platforms
• Supporting security operations across Azure, AWS, and on-prem Active Directory environments
• Helping to improve visibility, response, and prevention across a large-scale enterprise system
• Collaborating with a team of 9 (including compliance), with opportunities to support wider security projects

What you’ll bring:

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft security tools and endpoint/cloud protection
• Strong understanding of Windows environments, PCI concepts, and vulnerability management
• Familiarity with tools like Tenable
• SE200 and/or relevant cybersecurity certifications
• A technical mindset – someone who enjoys solving complex problems and tackling new challenges
