Our client is seeking an experienced leader to take ownership of their Cyber Security Operations, providing strategic and operational leadership across a 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC). This role is critical in protecting systems, data, people and brand by overseeing incident response, threat intelligence and operational excellence.

About the role

• Lead and inspire a high-performing team within Cyber Security Operations.
• Oversee daily monitoring, detection, and response to security threats.
• Drive continuous improvement through the implementation of new technologies and industry best practices.
• Act as a key escalation point during cybersecurity incidents, guiding incident response and crisis management.
• Collaborate with vendors, stakeholders, and internal teams to strengthen security capabilities.

About You

• 5+ years’ leadership or management experience within a SOC environment.
• Strong knowledge of frameworks and tools (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, EDR/XDR, SOAR/SIEM).
• Hands-on experience with incident response processes and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to simplify complex issues.
• Proven ability to deliver projects in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
• Relevant degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security) and certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA or similar).
