The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an accomplished cyber security leader to take on the role of General Manager Cyber Security. This senior leadership position will shape and deliver the organisation’s information security strategy, governance, and operations—protecting critical infrastructure and customer data at scale. As part of the Digital leadership team, you will embed security across the enterprise, act as a trusted advisor to the Board and executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Developing and implementing enterprise-wide cyber security strategy and frameworks.
Advising the Board and executives on emerging threats, risks, and best practices.
Leading incident response, security governance, and ongoing risk management.
Overseeing the Equalise business, driving growth, service delivery, and industry partnerships.
Managing financial performance, vendor relationships, and customer engagements.
Building a security-conscious culture across the organisation and beyond.
About You
Extensive senior leadership experience in cyber security within large, complex organisations.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute enterprise-level security strategies.
Proven experience engaging with Boards and executive stakeholders on cyber risk.
Strong understanding of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SABSA, PSR etc.).
Exceptional evaluative thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on leadership across governance, risk, operations, and commercial growth.
