Our client is building a new digital platform from the ground up and are seeking an experienced Product Owner / Delivery Lead to drive successful delivery from vision to release. This role bridges business needs, stakeholder input, and technical delivery across a modern JavaScript stack — ensuring the platform launches on time and with impact.

What you’ll do

• Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics
• Lead Agile delivery — manage sprints, backlog, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
• Gather and refine requirements from regional news providers, focusing on API integrations and content workflows
• Write, prioritise, and refine user stories and acceptance criteria in a clear, value-driven backlog
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and QA to deliver high-quality releases
• Proactively identify and remove delivery blockers, managing dependencies and risks
• Balance priorities and make informed trade-offs between business value and technical feasibility

Core Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or Delivery Lead in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong capability in backlog management, sprint planning, and stakeholder alignment
• Skilled in gathering and translating complex business and technical requirements
• Familiarity with API design and data exchange workflows
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills across cross-functional teams
• Confident decision-maker with strong analytical and prioritization abilities
• Understanding of Node.js (Express), React, TypeScript, MongoDB, and Payload CMS (You will not need to code but need to speak the language)

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with AWS (for caching or deployment)
• Experience in media or content-heavy digital products
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and performance optimisation practices
