An exciting opportunity has opened up for a high-performing Business Development Manager to join a Kiwi-owned and operated technology business delivering advanced physical and electronic security solutions.
This is a hunting role with a strategic focus on selling into complex organization's and critical infrastructure at a boardroom, C-suite, and executive leadership level, while also expanding selected existing client relationships.
You’ll be selling sophisticated, technology-led security solutions that address enterprise risk, resilience, and critical infrastructure — well beyond traditional access control and CCTV offerings.
The Role: Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for driving growth across the physical and electronic security pillar by:
- Developing and executing a new business strategy targeting net new clients
- Engaging and influencing C-suite, board, and executive stakeholders
- Managing the full end-to-end sales lifecycle for complex, high-value deals
- Expanding revenue within a defined portfolio of existing customers
- Positioning advanced security solutions aligned to organisational risk, compliance, and operational priorities
- Collaborating closely with technical, engineering, and delivery teams to help design tailored, enterprise-grade solutions
- Building long-term relationships based on trust, credibility, and strategic value
- Maintaining accurate pipeline, forecasting, and reporting disciplines
The Difference: This is not a transactional sales role. You’ll represent a technology-led organisation offering a broad and evolving suite of modern physical and electronic security solutions, for example:
- Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems (PIDS)
- Vehicle mitigation and road blocker solutions
- Integrated physical security platforms
- Advanced electronic and infrastructure-level security technologies
Your conversations will focus on business risk, safety, resilience, and long-term protection strategies, not just products.
About You: You’ll be polished and articulate bringing a blend of commercial acumen and executive presence, including:
- Proven success in a BDM / hunting role selling complex solutions
- Demonstrated experience engaging C-suite, board, and senior executive stakeholders
- Strong strategic and consultative selling capability
- A track record of winning net new business in competitive environments
- Confidence navigating mixed sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
- Background in physical / electronic security, preferably from a technical hands on position having moved into sales
