We are seeking a highly organised and proactive professional to coordinate a portfolio of software development and implementation projects, working closely with engineering teams, clients, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure, visibility, and momentum to projects without relying on heavy governance or excessive process. You'll be working with experienced software engineers who are largely self-managing, allowing you to focus on coordination, communication, prioritisation, and delivery excellence.
As Software Project Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of concurrent software projects at various stages of delivery. You will act as the central point of coordination between technical teams and clients, ensuring priorities are clear, expectations are managed, and project progress remains on track.
Success in this role requires excellent organisational skills, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to comfortably switch between multiple projects, clients, and priorities throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate multiple concurrent software development and implementation projects
- Maintain visibility of project timelines, priorities, dependencies, and delivery milestones
- Facilitate stand-ups, delivery reviews, and project planning sessions
- Coordinate activities between software development teams, clients, and internal stakeholders
- Provide regular project status updates and delivery communications to clients and management
- Monitor project risks, issues, and resource constraints, escalating where required
- Ensure actions and deliverables are tracked through to completion
- Manage and maintain project information within Jira or similar project management tools
- Support resource planning and workload coordination across multiple projects
- Ensure accurate project reporting, time tracking, and delivery metrics
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and team collaboration
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Software Project Management, Delivery Management, Project Coordination, or a similar role
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple software development or software implementation projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of Agile software delivery methodologies and project lifecycles
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional technical teams
- Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, Monday.com, ClickUp, or similar project management platforms
- Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational capabilities
- Ability to identify and resolve project risks and delivery challenges proactively
- Experience preparing project reports, delivery updates, and client communications
- Professional services, SaaS, software product, or technology consulting experience highly regarded
- PMP or similar Certification would be an advantage
