The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer / Test Analyst to join a Payments technology team working on a key integration programme with a new external vendor platform. This role will focus on integration testing across payment systems, APIs, data flows and backend services, ensuring quality delivery through both manual and automated testing practices.
The successful candidate will work closely with developers, business stakeholders and vendor teams to validate API integrations, field mappings and end-to-end transaction flows between platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform API integration testing between internal systems and external vendor platforms
• Validate API responses, data mappings, message flows and system behaviours
• Design and execute test cases across functional, integration and regression testing phases
• Perform a combination of manual and automated testing across backend services
• Work closely with development teams on defect analysis, troubleshooting and resolution
• Support test planning, execution, reporting and delivery activities within an Agile environment
• Ensure quality standards are maintained across critical payment and card-related systems
Skills & Experience Required:
• Strong experience in QA/testing within enterprise technology environments
• Hands-on experience testing APIs, integrations and backend services
• Understanding of REST APIs, data structures and integration patterns
• Experience with backend technologies, ideally C#/.NET environments
• Exposure to automation testing frameworks and tools
• Comfortable working across both manual and automated testing approaches
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical and business teams
