About the role
We are looking for a Senior Technical Data Business Analyst to join an AI & Data team on an initial 3- to 6-month contract.
This role will support a key migration from Teradata to Snowflake, bridging the gap between business requirements and technical data delivery. A major advantage will be your ability to bring a data engineering mindset, understand data flows, work with technical teams and translate complex requirements into clear delivery artefacts.

What you’ll be doing
- Gathering and translating business and technical data requirements
- Supporting discovery across source systems, data domains and data flows
- Producing source-to-target mapping, lineage and transformation documentation
- Supporting data solution and pipeline design with engineers and architects
- Defining data quality rules, acceptance criteria and testing inputs
- Supporting data governance, cataloguing, metadata and UAT activities
- Working closely with Product Owners, Delivery Managers, Engineers and Architects
You will be an experienced Technical Data BA with strong data warehousing knowledge and the ability to work confidently across business and technical teams.
You will ideally bring:
- A background in data engineering, data warehousing or technical data analysis
- Strong experience with source-to-target mapping and data requirements
- Understanding of data modelling, data flows, lineage and transformation rules
- Experience in Scrum or agile delivery environments
- Knowledge of Kimball methodologies
- Exposure to cloud or on-premise environments, ideally AWS or Azure
- Excellent documentation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Teradata to Snowflake migration experience would be highly advantageous
